When discussing men’s suits, often times the same question comes up,
In today’s post we are going to answer that very question with the help of a video.
Let’s begin.

For your convenience please watch the video below from He Spoke Style as Brian Sacawa teaches us how to get a perfect fitting suit through the use of good tailoring.
Bonus – How To Find A Good Tailor
As a note, I drive approximately 45 minutes to get to the tailor I trust. Her name is Mrs. Cynthia, and has been tailoring my clothes for a few years now.
Does all this cost money? Yes? Is it worth it? Yes!!
Why? Because if you spend your hard earned money to buy a nice suit, why not pay a little more to make sure that suit looks great on you?
Don’t “quit at the finish line” because you don’t want to pay extra for great tailoring.
Trust me, you can always spot the difference between one man who buys a suit off-the-rack and another man who took the time to get that same jacket tailored.
Did You Know?
- I get my jeans, chinos, denim jackets, hoodies, and even shirts tailored by Mrs. Cynthia
- You can look your best 24/7 by getting both your favorite casual and formal clothes tailored
- Women can take advantage of tailoring services as well!
Conclusion
If I were asked “what is the key to style?” I would always respond,”find a good tailor”.
From personal experience I’ve worn $15 suits from thrift stores (true story) and received several compliments from friends.
What makes the difference? Tailoring.
My wife and I love thrift store shopping so that’s where 90% of my suits came from. Because I save so much on what I pay for the suit, I instead use that money to pay for high quality tailoring.
All said and done, a $15 suit plus tailoring for the jacket and pants (which is about $70) puts me around $85 total for a suit that will look great on me everytime I wear it.
Hopefully you’ve learned something today.
Until next time, yall have a good one.
