Have you ever heard of the phrase “stealth wealth” before?
If not, then we suggest you stick around. Because this is something you’re going to want to know about.
Let’s begin.
What is Stealth Wealth?
So we can understand that stealth wealth is the opposite of being flashy in style or bragging in conversation.
They don’t feel the need to tell others of their latest projects, returns from investments, or any other money making opportunities.
This is because they are confident enough to not need the validation of others. To them, it doesn’t matter if they look rich to those around them.
But what does matter to them is having the type of life they actually desire to live. Not the one society says they should live, but the one that truly makes them (and their family) happy.
Traits of People in the Stealth Wealth Community
- Minimalist clothing with no visible logos
- Driving old, yet reliable car when they could afford a much nicer vehicle
- Giving away money to charities anonymously
- Spending lots of time with family
- A strong focus on learning and education
- Has a vision of how they can impact the world in a positive way and contribute to society
What’s interesting is even the Bible paints a illustration of this. A picture of people who have money versus those who look like they have money.
Which reminds us of one of our Golden Rules here at A Step Above Style…
Conclusion
In conclusion we feel it is important to be quiet (for the most part) about your financial success.
This is because it’s very easy to “come off wrong” to those not doing as well as you financially.
It’s typically very difficult for someone to be happy for somebody else if they aren’t personally experiencing growth also.
This is just human nature.
You can however share your success stories with the closest of your close friends. Others you can share this information with is your significant other, or parents.
In summary, there are likely more cons than pros when it comes to talking too much about how much money you have.
Until next time, y’all have a good one.
