Have you looked at your finances at the end of 2022 and found yourself unhappy? If so, today’s post is for you. Continue reading and we’ll show you one money principle that that will change your financial future for the better.
Since we at A Step Above Style value your time (and because you already know why you’re here) we’ll jump right in.
Let’s begin.

Spend Much Less Than You Make
In the finance community there are generally thought to be four things you must take care of.
1. Housing
2. Food
3. Transportation
4. Hygiene
Once these things are accounted for, we have the freedom to spend the remainder of our money in any way we choose. This is where today’s money principle comes into effect.
Examples

- Thrifting instead of Department Stores
- Generic instead of “Name Brand”
- Pre-owned instead of New
- Stay-cation instead of Vacation
- Pack a lunch instead of buying lunch
- Intentional planning instead of spontaneous activity
Conclusion

The definition of insanity is to repeat the same things over and over yet expecting different results.
If you want to be better in 2023 as opposed to last year you must be willing to change your ways.
Financial stability and freedom are available for those that actively pursue it.
“Broke people spend like they are wealthy. Wealthy people spend like they are broke “.
ASAS Money Tips
There’s a reason why rich people are often called “cheap” and “tight-wads”. Maybe it’s because they’ve already known what we shared today for quite a long time.
Until next time, yall have a good one.

Title of this post is Blog Bites, but truthfully, it’s a big chunk of GOLD! If things didn’t work out so well for you last year financially, you might need to consider changing your ways. Some ways you
can work on saving more money throughout the year is, setting your bills (If Optional) up for automatic payments, keep all the change you receive in a jar, prep for your meals and grocery shopping weekly because things do tend to change, get creative on gift giving ideas. The last one is pretty important especially with us just coming out of the holiday season. It all boils down to what is it that you want, living a life of financial freedom daily or a life that you feel bogged down daily because you have bills beyond bill due. It’s your choice! Great post, Jeffrey!
