Are you working with a limited income, but still want to always look your best? Well today I’ve got 3 quick tips to help you be stylish on a budget.
Since we at A Step Above Style value your time (and because you already know why you’re here) we’ll jump right in.
Let’s begin.
1. Take Your Frequently Worn Clothes To A Tailor

If you are into clothes and style you’ve no doubt heard the phrase :
“Fit is king”.
This simply means that clothes are nothing without the proper fit. Your clothes should fit your body type, and not look like they’ve just come off the shopping rack.
My advice for you today is to get your most frequently worn items tailored (if needed). I a item fits you well off the rack then disregard this tip.
But if the fit of that item is “so-so” and could be better, then take it to your tailor.
By tailoring the clothes you wear most often, you’ll be sure to be looking your best virtually all the time.
Pro Tip: Get your dress clothes AND casual clothes tailored. Casual shirts, jackets, and jeans can all be tailored!
2. Invest In Quality Outerwear

My advice on wearing a quality piece of outerwear is all about how it saves you money.
You can wear a nice leather jacket, and he wearing a $5 t shirt underneath it. People will see the quality of your jacket and assume everything else you’re wearing is also of a high quality.
This saves you money as you stretch your dollars as far as they can go until you can also afford higher quality shirts for example.
Pro Tip: I have a leather jacket by Daniel Cremiux that I found at a thrift store. The leather quality is excellent, and it’s a statement piece for sure.
Don’t break the bank when finding quality items. Shop smarter not harder!
3. Buy Quality Shoes And Keep Them Clean

Why buy quality shoes?
Because they protect your feet! Your shoes should be affordable (relatively speaking), comfortable, and stylish. And YES you can have all three!
Pick up a pair of shoes from your favorite brand, as well as some shoe cleaning supplies. When you take them off at the end of the day, wipe them down and keep them fresh for the day ahead!
Pro Tip : Your shoes are often the first people look at when people see you. This goes for ladies and gentlemen. So be sure to keep your footwear looking right!
