Tecovas is a company that focuses on boots and western wear. It was founded by Paul Hedrick in 2015.
They are mostly known for their boots which are made by skilled artisans. According to their website, the process of making a single boot takes over 200 steps to complete by hand.
Today we will be looking at one of those boots. The Wyatt in Black Ostrich.

Price– compared to other large brands these boots are a great way to experience exotic leathers at a more accessible price point for the average man.
Leather Quality– These boots use 100% full quill ostrich which is a highly sought after leather. Tecovas claims this is their most purchased leather.
Durability – Because these boots are handmade, you can be sure they will stand the test of time. Having an actual human creating your boots is a great way to enjoy a product for a long time to come.
Cons
Price– Although $400 is more affordable than other large name brands, it’s definitely not pocket change for most of us. In order for someone to experience these they would either need to save up, or get these as a gift.
Availability– While these are available online, you may not live close to a physical location where you could try them on before you buy. Many people prefer to handle a item physically before they make a purchase.
Who This Product Is For
This product is for the man who has experienced other boot brands before and is ready to try something new.
These boots are not just for cowboys, but for all gentlemen who have a diverse taste in their footwear.
I don’t claim to be a cowboy, but I do love a well made shoe. These shoes are made of high quality leather, are Goodyear welted, and are sure to last for many years.
Who This Product Is Not For
These are not the boots for you if you’re not willing to try a different style of boot other than Chelsea, Dress, and Chukka boots.
If you are too much of a “City Boy”, steer clear of these. Because you’ll definitely need the right shirt and jeans to pull off this look.
So if you’re not interested in adding those types of clothes to your wardrobe, then don’t even worry about these boots.
Lastly, these boots are not for the man who will be super hard on them.
Although they can take a beating, these boots are intended for when you are going out and want to make a statement.

Conclusion
I must say, I really enjoy these boots. The leather quality is great, and the boots add even more height to my 6’6 stature.
So if someone wants to walk a little taller, these are a great fit for them.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tecovas to any of my friends.

In fact I purchased a pair of these for my wife to celebrate our 4 year anniversary.
Too often women’s shoes are made to just look pretty. There isn’t a strong effort made to make shoes that will last a long time.
