In other words its simply meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

I want to share some information with you that may change your life.
The most sustainable clothing is the clothing already in your closet.

What is the most practical way we can look out for our environment? By shopping smarter. By buying quality garments that will stand the test of time.
Fast fashion items that only last a “season” quickly find their ways into landfills. Often times the owners of these items toss said garment into the trash thinking it is too damaged for anyone else.
Usually, they are exactly right. A store offering 10 shirts for $10 is probably too good to be true. Instead buy one $10 shirt that is made of high quality materials.

When it comes to shopping the old saying is often true,
You get what you pay for.
Buying a watch from Walmart should only be expected to last for a short amount of time. Likewise, sunglasses from a gas station aren’t likely to hold up to much wear and tear.

It makes sense to buy a watch from a watch store. Get your sunglasses from a store that specializes in sunglasses.
In doing so you are buying a higher quality item that won’t end up thrown away after a brief amount of use by the consumer.
When a item is thrown away, so are all the materials used to make it. Most items are mass produced so just imagine all the fast fashion items that end up in landfills after just one year.

So what is the one thing you can do today to be more sustainable?
Buy quality clothes, and wear them.
Fast fashion leads to landfills, and landfills lead to waste.
