As a shoe enthusiast and a minimalist I’m very picky about what new shoes I add to my wardrobe.
Anything I add must look good, be built to last, and be highly versatile. This pair of Sperry’s I purchased recently checked all those boxes, and I’m excited to share them with you today.
The color of these Sperry’s was one of the first things that stood out to me. The dark brown and mocha shades make this pair easy to wear.
I’ve enjoyed Sperry’s throughout the years as they are easy to slip on and very comfortable.
To me, these are just a staple in any man’s wardrobe. If you had to have one Spring/Summer shoe, this could easily meet your need.
I came across this pair while shopping with my wife, and I really enjoyed the leather quality.
Upon looking up the model number online, I also found out the shoe was crafted with full grain leather. This made me even more happy with my purchase.
See our post about identifying high quality leather here.
How I Plan On Wearing These Shoes
I plan on wearing these shoes mostly with chinos as opposed to my jeans. They are a lightweight, breezy shoe and that pairs well with lightweight pants like chinos.
This is in contrast to a heavier fabric like denim which jeans are made of.
The chinos I wear are from Target, and can be found here. To keep things minimal I have a pair in brown, olive, and black.
I’m not a fan of “crazy” socks, so I won’t be wearing anything with a lot of patterns on them. Additionally, I’m not a fan of going sock-less, so I won’t be doing that either.
For my shirts I’ll mix and match my Bylt long-sleeve tees to compliment my pants and shoes. All these shirts are solid (no patterns) so it makes getting dressed super easy.
Accessories
When it comes to accessories, I’ll likely have on my Apple Watch Ultra . I always wear mine on the midnight ocean strap. It came with the watch, and I don’t see a need to switch it up.
Other than that, I’ll have on a pair of shades (weather permitting). Either my pair of Diff sunglasses (which were given to me), or my pair of Jacque Marie Mage sunglasses (which are my absolute favorite accessory in my wardrobe)!
Closing
In closing, I’m very happy about this purchase. They cost right at $100, but I anticipate getting plenty of use out of them.
Before wearing them I sprayed them with a water and stain repellent to keep them in top shape.
Thanks for reading todays blog post, and checking out what’s new in my wardrobe.
Maybe it will shine a light on some new items for you to check out.
Until next time, y’all have a good one.
