There’s a good reason why dogs are considered man’s best friend.
They are faithful, loving, fun, and full of personality. Plus they have a way of always being right by your side when you need them most.
One thing that has always stood out to me about dogs is their unyielding desire to spend time with us even when we don’t have time for them.
And it is this observation that brings us to todays simple exercise in slow living.
The Exercise
Spend 10 uninterrupted minutes playing with your dog.
No multitasking, no phone, no distractions.
Just you and your dog for 10 meaningful minutes.
The Value of Slow Living
Slow living is a principle that is designed to allow a person to enjoy the simple things in life.
One example is lighting a candle and just sitting at the table to enjoy its pleasant fragrance.
Sometimes in life we buy things we think will make our life better. But because we are often in such a rush, we don’t take the proper time to enjoy those things.
Far too many dog owners simply feed their pets, pick up after them, and maybe take them for a walk.
How many take the time to intentionally play with them? To learn their unique personality? To find out what they truly enjoy?
Conclusion
Hopefully you have found today’s post insightful. Spend a few minutes with that playful pup, and I guarantee you’ll be glad you did.
Until next time, y’all have a good one.
